Interior Design For a Friend

When we moved to Ohio, I soon became friends with an incredibly lovely and intelligent friend. She too had a love for design and after looking at some things I was working on, she took a leap of faith and asked me to re-design her home. She really is the perfect client! After understanding her tastes, goals, and favorite color palettes she let me have full reign. We actually didn’t finish her home because she decided she needed a bigger one and we started the design process all over again! 😉

We blended lots of old with new and repurposed builder-grade cabinetry and furniture she already had. We swapped out light fixtures, added moulding throughout, upgraded her kitchen, design custom drapery and marble mozaic art in her powder bath and living room fireplace. One of our favorites included custom designed fret doors in her living room. It was so fun to watch those get laser cut! We also added custom stenciled walls coverings, additional small pieces of furniture and accent items and we reupholstered antique items. Oh! I forgot, LOVE the custom slipcovers for her kitchen and dining room spaces as well as the cover over her living room couch that her daughter turned into graffiti art. It was so fun to travel from town to town picking up antique mirrors and settees which completed the look.

Hello my sweet Chase! This is your mom's portfolio. The day you were born, I discovered a new side of creativity that I didn't know existed in me! I have especially enjoyed designing your bedrooms, toys, and birthday parties. You are such a God-kiss. Every day I thank Him for YOU! My son, you are more precious than silver, more costly than gold, more beautiful than diamonds. We love you!
