Oh my sweet boy! When Chaser was in preschool he had a terrible time of leaving his mommy and his mom had a terrible time leaving her baby. But he needed to go and it was good. That first “part-time” preschool helped my little learn that it was OK if mommy wasn’t around. This year Chase came out of his little shell.
I created these two pillows to say thank you to his teachers who loved on him and were very patient with me! Chase helped stuff them! And because we lived in a little mountain town, with no easy access to a variety fabric, I picked the turquoise fabric up at Target – it was a curtain! And the front of the fabric was a softened drop cloth. (Using drop cloth material was all the rave back then…people were using it to make curtains and all kinds of things. It was inexpensive, but gosh…you really had to wash, re-wash and iron it good before it was soft enough to use. It gave a nice linen-like appearance, but definitely more durable.) These turned out great! I wish I had one for me!
